Wooden Rings & Holy Echo

Message for location location!

The four piece singer-songwriter project, Wooden Rings has hooked up with some new friends from Indianapolis, The Holy Echo, for some levitation at Stanley Manor, a warm room in the Irving Park neighborhood of Chicago.

The Holy Echo brings steady and earnest electric and acoustic strings to a ghostly voice lifted in the reverb of the room. Often the lyrics on Love-ish trick you into images painted by your mind and sometimes the vocal harmonies become indistinguishable from the instrumental cadences. Lovely stuff on the album Love-ish.

Wooden Rings brings some new songs to the room during this show. If you follow the band you might know the acoustic chamber pop sound Wooden Rings brought to the heart-broken self-titled release back in 2012 and Twisted & Tangled in 2014. You may have seen them over the past couple years expand the format of the group to include drums and electric guitars. Now the quartet is trying out new material and even some covers... "we want to share what we have been enjoying in the practice space to get some feedback from those who really know us, and to meet those who don't.'' --Ramah
