There are more generations simultaneously in the workforce than ever before. The world, in general, is increasingly polarized and fractured. There is conflict all around us. In order to overcome these challenges, leaders must be able to build collaborative environments and effectively guide teams toward shared goals. LEAD is the training ground for leaders who want to rise to the challenge. Are you ready to LEAD?
LEAD is a chance to spend 3 days learning new skills that will equip you to more effectively lead teams and create collaborative environments. Choral Concert: Stabat Mater
Saturday, March 28, 2026 – 7:30 p.m.
Our Saint Bartholomew Concert Series marks the beginning of the Holy Week with a masterpiece of the sacred repertoire, the Stabat Mater (At the Cross Her Station Keeping) by Italian composer, Gioachino Rossini (1792-1868). A chorus combining singers from St. Bartholomew Catholic Church and Fairlawn Presbyterian Church in Columbus and from Roberts Park United Methodist Church and St. John United Church of Christ in Indianapolis, with professional orchestra and soloists perform the hour-long, ten-movement piece. It blends virtuosic bel canto arias, a cappella choral sections, and strict contrapuntal fugues. Please come enjoy this special event and support our musical projects! Free admission, donations are welcome.
This intense, dramatic piece brings together four interdenominational churches to tell the story of Mary at the cross as she recognizes what Christ has sacrificed for mankind. Come experience the sacrifice, love and passion of our Lord in this unique way.
Members of the local ensemble Forward Motion will guide participants through the creation of pieces of visual art that the musicians will then interpret and perform live. Registration required.
Forward Motion performs at Harrison Center’s March 2026 First Friday event.
Salazar will teach introduction to composition with MYO students.

Being a hermit is really great for perfecting one’s craft, but absolutely dreadful for finding work as an artist. We have to do more than hide away in our studio practicing our creative activities - we have to get out into our community, and meet people to find work. If no one knows you exist, no one can hire you. As featured on Episode 142 of nationally-acclaimed podcast “The Portfolio Composer,” I’ll explain strategies for how to build business and artistic connections to generate more work, with increased comfort and confidence.
