Creative Renewal Artist Fellowship

I received the Indy Arts Council’s Creative Renewal Artist Fellowship in 2023. This $10,000 fellowship allowed me to take time off my regular work in Indianapolis, so I could travel to Texas and Mexico to learn more about the music of my late grandfather. I travelled to San Antonio to and Mexico City to listen to Mariachi and Norteño music, and to experience Día de Muertos in the city Grandpa was born in.

On-Ramp Fellowship

I received the On-Ramp Creative Entrepreneur Course Certificate of Completion and was awarded a 2019 Fellowship for the Music discipline. On-Ramp Fellowship funding allowed me to lead the creation of a music video with Forward Motion, Indianapolis' premiere New Music chamber ensemble. The music video presented "Reflect & Release," an original composition by Indy composer Rob Funkhouser, in a new and compelling light.
